Program Partners

The Art Therapy Project collaborates with well-established non-profit organizations that serve New York area residents who have experienced trauma and who have few or no resources. We maintain ongoing communication with our partners’ clinical staff who identify clients to join and benefit from our art therapy groups. The programs are conducted in small group sessions with participants who have a shared common experience. Groups meet weekly at The Art Therapy Project’s studio or at the program partner’s site.

Fee-for-Service

The Art Therapy Project’s programs are fully funded through private donations and we do not receive any government funding. While our programs are always free to clients, we do partner with a number of nonprofit organizations and hospitals on a sliding scale, fee-for-service basis. Some of our partners receive funding for our contracting our art therapy services from: Title IV Funds through the US Department of Education; the New York StateEducation Department and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.

The Art Therapy Project is always open to working with organizations to help secure funding through foundation and government proposals. If you believe your clients would benefit from art therapy programming, please contact us to explore how we might work together.
